What are your top tips on staying grounded through change?

WE ASKED

This is not a productivity competition. It’s ok if you’re frozen, anxious, or lost. We don’t need to come out of this stronger, we just need to come out of it alive. The most important thing is you look after your body, your mind, and you continue loving yourself every day. You, your family and your friends; keep those people close to you and you’ll be just fine.

Breathing. Taking a moment whenever needed to breathe can shift how you feel. Breathing can help you connect to yourself and calm an anxious, stressed mind. I also highly suggest movement - walks, exercise, yoga will keep you grounded. And always making time for what gives you joy.

Remember that in life, everything passes, good and bad moments. The wise attitude is to take advantage of each one of them and especially, to accept them. To live is more about surfing the wave than to withstand it. Living is much more about getting in harmony than fighting or resisting.

Keep a positive perspective about the current situation and take this time to reflect on your goals, your life’s purpose, and work on your passion. It is the right time to develop new skills. One important thing which you should do to stay calm and composed is to turn off the notifications from news Apps on your cell phone.

Process your emotions in the most positive way that you know how. Allowing yourself to process what you’re going through is the only way to move through it, and doing it in a positive way will make your life a whole lot easier once the storm has passed. Life is cyclical; this time is about letting go and allowing yourself to be reborn.

I’m really enjoying reading The Laws of Human Nature by Robert Greene and also Ego is the Enemy by Ryan Holiday at the moment. The podcast I’m listening to is called REAL AF with Andy Frisella, straight talking common sense about so many interesting subjects! I listen to a few episodes before bed every night.

The book that I recommend to everyone at the moment that we are alive is The Power of Now by Eckhart Tolle.

Elcio Coronato

My book recommendation? Zero to One by Blake Masters and Peter Thiel. I also love the WIRED Podcast
